We are happy to announce a compete update of Russia postcode and municipality level products range.
Since 05 May 2020 all products have been updated to 2020 vintage and are available for immediate delivery.
Russian postcode map now includes 40117 individual postcode polygons. Detail level in urban areas have been significantly improved. Russian population dataset has been updated and is now actual as of 01.01.2019. Gender / age groups and households datasets have been updated to match the vintage and represent the situation as of 01.01.2019 as well.
Russian nominal wages dataset has been updated as well and now represents the situation as of end of 2019 (average wages through January – December 2019).
Kantynent updated technical datasheets for the revision 6.0 of all datasets on Russia including postal code map and attribute data for population, gender & age groups, income and households. Datasheets are available for download in PDF on respective product pages and on the Documents page.
Kantynent has updated its release dates for the following Russian datasets:
- 8 Sep 2014 — Age groups on municipality level,
- 1 Dec 2014 — Postcode boundaries,
- 2 Jan 2015 — Population on postcode level.

New edition of the Russian classification of territories of municipal formations (OKTMO) will be put into effect January 1, 2014 by the Russian Federal State Statistics Service. The purpose of the new classification is to include settlements within the municipality formations by the use of 11-digit OKTMO codes. Previous edition — OK 033-2005 — will therefore be obsolete by the beginning of the year.
We are glad to announce that all of our datasets for Russian Federation released from January 2, 2014 onward starting with the Russian Rayon Boundaries will already be using the new precise classification of territories.
